Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge no. 39

This weeks sketch challenge was a fun one to achieve. So much as that as soon as I finished one I went ahead and made another in a different theme and colour scheme. A very good friend has a Birthday coming up and she isn't your traditional flowers, presents, cake on the front of a card sort of person so this had to be unique. And it had to include her favourite colours teal and silver with hints of black and white.
I used: White Daisy blank cards
            For Always paper pack
            Skylark WOTG
            Teal Shimmer Trim
            Silver Shimmer Trim
            Black cardstock
            White cardstock
            Joyous Birthday stamp
            Lagoon ink
            Black ink

And for my follow up card using the same sketch
Using: Skylark WOTG (loving this new paper pack)
            White Daisy blank card
            White Daisy Cardstock
You are my Happy letter stamp
            Desert Sand ink
            Sweet Leak ink
I can see me using this sketch often. If you'd like to have a go yourself then head on over to www.atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.ca
So until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Cards and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge no.38

Well I know it's a little late in the week to posting this weeks Sketch Challenge but it's been a bit busy around here. My first look at the new CTMH stock arrived and I've been glued to it thinking about what photos and projects each pack will suit. New Catalogue is released to customers on 1st February so it's not long now to wait.
As an added bonus I purchased a Cricut Expressions 2 machine. It is the most amazing cutting tool and adds so much to any page, card or project. Here is a look at my first completed card made using elements from the Cricut.

And now for this weeks entry into the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. After entering for the first time last week, I found that my design placed in the top 3 for the week. (I told you it was a good week) I have used the Love Doily stamp once again, but that is only by coincidence. This weeks sketch looked like this:

My interpretation is a 'Thinking of You' card.
I used: White Daisy Blank Cards
            Cotton Candy Cardstock
            White Daisy Cardstock
            Chantilly Paper Pack
            Chantilly Compliments
            Pink Glitter Gems
            Bakers Twine Paradise Assortment
            Love Doily Stamp
            Cotton Candy Ink pad
            Buttercup Ink Pad
            Casual Expressions Stamp set

Atlantic Hearts Challenge no. 37

So I've decided to try challenging myself this year. It can be difficult to come up with new ideas all the time and sometimes you just get a mental block. With the magic of Facebook I have come across the Atlantis Hearts Challenge page. Once a week they post a sketch that you can turn into a page, card or anything you want. It's a bit of fun and also gets the brain thinking.
For my first entry I have chosen to do a Birthday card. As soon as I saw the sketch I just knew what my finished work would look like. (Sorry the pictures a gone sideways, couldn't seem to get it to turn.)

I've used:
Laughing Lola purple from the Laughing Lola pack
Silver and white patterned paper from Sparkle & Shine pack
Blank White Daisy card
White Daisy Card stock
Love Doily stamp
Happy Birthday stamp
Black and Silver gem stones
Black ink
Black Glitter Trim

Made it in about an hour. When inspiration strikes it's always best to go with it. You may just create the most amazing masterpiece and surprise yourself.
