Base and Bling, Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge no. 43
Well I know I missed last weeks challenge but it's been busy busy at my place. I'm getting ready for our local Show (fair) where we will be exhibiting CTMH for the first time in the local area on a large scale. So if you live in or around Newcastle, NSW come along and say Hi.
I've been creating up a storm. LOTS of cards (some of which you've seen on my blog), pages, off the page projects and my latest creative exploit has been to have a go at the new Base and Bling jewellery making collection. How easy is it! With a few simple cuts and twists of the fabric, a little bling from the adhesive jewels and the adhesive strips you have a beautiful unique creation in very little time. I think I made my first hair clip in under an hour and I'd never tried this type of craft before. Here are a few results.

So in all this busyness I missed last weeks challenge, but I promise I will catch up after this week when life isn't so crazy. I did thankfully get a chance to do this weeks challenge no. 43. Went for a different idea to the flowers in the sketch as I'd had this card in mind for quite sometime. First for the sketch.
This week I've used Lollydoodle to make a real girly birthday card.

I have used: Lollydoodle paper pack
                     Artbooking Cricut Cartridge
Stamp from the Ivy Lane WOTG
Pear, Juniper and Cotton Candy ink
                     White Daisy blank cards
Next weeks sketch is very close to coming online, so head on over to www.atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.ca to join in. And hopefully I'll find a little time to join in to before the Show next weekend.
Happy Papercrafting.

Baby Crazy and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge no. 41

Some of you may remember the song 'All my Friends are Getting Married', well around my place it's more like 'All my Friends are having Babies'. So I thought it best to start getting prepared with some baby cards for when the happy events arrive. And I know I've been posting a lot of cards lately but I promise I'll post some pages and off the page again soon. so here's my creations of the last few days.

And my card selection wouldn't be complete without my entry for this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I had already started this card a few hours earlier when upon checking this weeks sketch it fitted perfectly. Goes to show that great minds really so think alike. It's the first week of a new term for the design team at AHSC and they have put forward a great sketch for challenge no. 41.

My First Workshop and Atlantic Hearts Challenge no. 40

In two weeks I will be holding my first workshop and I've been having such fun designing my layouts. As it's an introductory class I am including one Scrapbook page and one card. I've decided to use Balloon Ride from our very latest Ideas Book which is released today. So if you live in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area feel free to join me. All the details are in my coming events column at the top right of this blog, just leave a comment below to book. There will be lots to see and you'll get to have a look at the new paper packs close up. They are gorgeous and I had trouble deciding on just one to use. So here's a peak at what we'll be making on the day.

And now for this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge no. 40.
I came in the top three once again last week which is really exciting and also humbling that other papercrafters really like my designs.
This week I've chosen to use Ivy Lane. It is one of my favourites and the colour palette is so me.
This week I've used:
Ivy Lane Paper pack X7178B
Purple Glitter Gems Z1936
Flamingo Dots Z1934
Gold Shimmer Trim from the Ivy Lane Cardmaking on the Go kit G1079
Cotton Candy Ink Z2193
